Energy/Oil & Gas Taskforce: This taskforce will identify opportunities for the Chamber to support the oil and natural gas industry.  Specific recommendations will be made to the Chamber’s Board of Directors as to state and federal legislative and other matters affecting this important business sector.

Young Professionals Initiative (YPI):  The YPI is focused on developing career skills to cultivate the next generation of leaders in our community, and also providing opportunities for young professionals in the region to connect and make a difference in the community. 

Cultural Economy Initiative: This initiative will work to provide local and regional cultural programs and/or businesses the opportunity to connect and highlight unique cultural assets in our community.  Culture means business in Northwest Louisiana and the Chamber is working to organize a joint effort for the benefit of our region and the cultural industry.

Diplomats: Serve as the Membership Retention Committee of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.  The Diplomats volunteer their time and resources to sustain a year-round retention program that involves making personal visits and follow-up telephone calls to the Chamber members to establish strong relations between the Chamber and the member.

Legislative Policy Committee: Recommend positions that are in the best interest of the Chamber and/or community, as a whole, to the Chamber Board of Directors on state and federal policy and legislative issues. 

Transportation Roundtable: To recommend policy and positions to the Chamber Board of Directors on transportation related issues including highways, air, rail and water transportation issues.  The committee also serves as an advocate with various government and elected officials to accomplish transportation related goals as established by the Chamber Board of Directors. 

Walk of Stars Committee: Recognizes individuals from Northwest Louisiana who have distinguished themselves in their professional endeavors or those who have brought positive recognition and attention to the area.
