Annual Golf Classic

The Annual Northwest Louisiana Golf Classic is held every year by the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. The 2010 event is slated for Monday, April 19^th at Southern Trace Country Club presented by:

Praise Temple & Northwest Louisiana Community Development Corporation.

This is a flighted competition, there will be several on-the-course challenges, cash prizes and our first place team will be awarded our Northwest LA Golf Classic traveling trophy.

Lunch is provided to participants upon arrival at the tournament & plenty of Door Prizes conclude our day of networking.

Proceeds from the golf tourney fund our business advocacy program, which includes:

§ Full-time lobbyist to monitor and lobby in support or opposition of local, state and federal legislation impacting the businesses of Northwest Louisiana.

§ Representation in Baton Rouge during extraordinary and regular Louisiana Legislative Sessions

§ Washington DC presentation to Congressional Delegation regarding issues important to Northwest Louisiana

§ Voice for our members, who represent over 1900 businesses providing more than 92,000 jobs in our region.

§ Assistance to our members seeking guidance on marshaling support and organizing requests from city, parish, state and federal officials for concerns related to operating a business.

The Business Advocacy Program of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce has garnered national attention and received several awards from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Association and the U. S. Chamber of Commerce for innovation, collaboration and successful outcomes. A 5-Star Accreditation was bestowed upon the Chamber for meeting the highest standards of excellence.
