Since 1987, the Northwest Louisiana Government Procurement Center (GPC) of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce has played a vital role in the economic growth and development of Northwest Louisiana.
The primary mission of GPC is to increase the number of federal, state and local government contract dollars being awarded to businesses located in this region of the state, thereby creating and retaining jobs.
Government Procurement Center served over 800 clients and reported more than $300 million dollars in contract award dollars. More than 77 jobs were created and nearly 309 retained due to GPC’s efforts in 2009.
