DIPLOMATSThe Diplomats are a volunteer group of business executives who serve as the Membership Retention Committee of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. The Diplomats volunteer their time and resources to sustain a year-round retention program that involves making personal visits to Chamber Members, officiating ribbon cutting ceremonies celebrating new and expanding businesses, and providing support at events hosted by the Chamber. The Diplomats serve at the pleasure of their employer and agree to follow guidelines and meet expectations as outlined by the Chamber.  For a copy of the guidelines and application to participate email Tracy Whittington, Member Services Manager.

The Hispanic Business Council (HBC) of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce works to raise the awareness of our region's hispanic business community and to promote initiatives supporting the development of new and existing hispanic-owned businesses. Participation in the HBC is exclusive to members of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. No additional dues are assessed for participation; however, reservations are required and a fee is collected to cover the cost of the meal served at the meeting. HBC meetings are held quarterly. The Minority Business Council (MBC) of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce provides a forum for the development and enhancement of minority-owned and operated businesses in Northwest Louisiana. Regular participation in the Council is limited to members of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and involves numerous minority-owned companies that offer a diverse range of products and services as well as firms who are seeking to do business with minority-owned firms. Members of the Chamber are invited to experience the benefits of the Minority Business Council by attending regularly scheduled luncheon meetings. No additional dues are assessed for participation; however, reservations are required and a fee is collected to cover the cost of the meal served at the meeting. MBC meetings are held monthly. The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Women's Business Council (WBC) provides a forum for women in business to network and exchange information important to the development and advancement of women-owned businesses. Participation in the Women's Business Council is exclusive to members of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. No additional dues are assessed for participation; however, reservations are required and a fee is collected to cover the cost of the meal served at the meeting. WBC meetings are held monthly. The Young Professionals Initiative is a network of Northwest Louisiana business executives and community leaders under the age of 40. The YPI offers innovative ways for young professionals to socialize and expand their professional horizons. The group also addresses community issues impacting the attraction and retention of Young Professionals. To be added to the YPI Interest Group, email FeFe Daniels, Membership & Marketing Assistant.
