2011 ATHENA Recipients
The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, honored the recipients of the prestigious ATHENA Leadership Award September 15, 2011.
The ATHENA Award was inspired by the goddess of Greek mythology known for her strength, courage, wisdom and enlightenment. The Award is not only local, but recognized on a national and international level. Recipients are honored for their professional excellence, community service and actively assisting other women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership.
Since the program’s inception in 1982, close to 6,000 leaders in over 500 communities have received the ATHENA Award. This year, two of Bossier-Shreveport’s own joined those ranks.
