U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship
to Host Local Small Business Workshop.
 
Partnering with area chambers of commerce and the City of Bossier, the U.S. Senate's Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, chaired by Senator Mary Landrieu, is presenting a small business seminar workshop discussing new tax breaks for the 2009 tax year and strategies for utilizing innovation and technology to generate new business opportunities.
 
This information-packed event will be on Thursday, April1 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Bossier Civic Center located at 620 Benton Road, Bossier City, LA.  Divided into two sessions, attendees can choose to participate in either or both of the sessions that would benefit their business.  The cost of the seminar is as follows:
 
·         Entire Seminar, 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.: $30.00 per person
·         Session 1, 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.: $20.00 per person, including breakfast
·        Session 2, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.: $15.00 per person

"While small business owners are struggling to keep their businesses alive in this economic downturn, I have been working hard in Washington to get them needed support," said Senator Landrieu.  "This includes helping to pass tax credits to give owners the extra capital they need to survive and grow. This informational event will spread awareness of these new incentives so small business owners can take advantage of them this tax season."
