2026 CAMPAIGN INTERVIEWS

City Council candidates took on questions regarding blight, permitting, and balancing district needs with citywide priorities.

District Attorney candidates were asked to address violent crime, juvenile offenses, diversion programs, and the growing threat of fraud and cybercrime.

Mayoral candidates were asked how they would manage a roughly $700 million operating budget, meet long-term water and sewer obligations, and move the long-awaited I-49 Inner-City Connector forward.

School board hopefuls were asked to give their thoughts on student achievement, career and technical education, teacher retention, and artificial intelligence in the classroom.
